Old carignan, cinsault from 1950, grenache gris

Description

Terroir : A single plot in St Jean de Bébian, Pézenas, on a soil of rolled pebbles. The vines are cultivated using organic methods.

Harvesting: Manual. Yield 30hl/ha

Vinification & Maturing: whole bunch pressing, cold settling, followed by a temperature controlled fermentation. Short ageing in vats.

Tasting notes: Pale rosé with a "melon" hue, the nose evokes dried flowers and red fruits such as redcurrant and raspberry. The palate is ample but balanced and does not lack freshness or minerality.
